Frequently Asked Questions for the 2021 Flor-A-Thon.

No experience necessary! We will give you a few tips and tricks and explain any special parameters that our healthcare partners require, but other than that, you are free to have fun and be creative!

We will provide shears, scissors, vases and an apron to protect your clothes. If you prefer to bring your own arranging supplies, you are welcome to do so. (We do not use floral tape or floral foam in our arrangements.)

Each shift is one-hour. You should plan to arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled shift.

All arrangers and volunteers in the workshop will be required to wear masks. Arranging stations will be distanced, with only 10 arrangers per shift. All shared work stations and tools will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each shift. We will stagger each shift’s arrival and departure times so that contact is limited.

While all arrangers are committing to a $500 donation per shift, you can come up with that money however you’d like! We will provide you with a unique-to-you fundraising page that you can customize and share with your friends and family, coworkers, and social networks to help you raise the funds. In addition to online donations, you are able to collect donations the old-fashioned way by collecting cash or checks or having those donations mailed to RAF Indy. (Be sure to have your donors include your name so that we can apply their donation to your bucket!) All donations will be collected by Wednesday, May 12th following the event. Of course, you can feel free to raise more than $500!

There is a section on the arranger registration where you can indicate your preferred days/times. We will do our best to accommodate your requests. If you have a person you would like to arrange with, please send Lindsay an email so that she can try to put you in the same shift.

Yes! But keep in mind that you are committing to $500 per shift!

All of the arrangements created will be delivered to patients in local healthcare facilities and hospitals on Thursday and Friday following the event. Event Sponsors at the $5,000+ level can choose a healthcare center where arrangements will be delivered. You can find more information on Sponsorship opportunities here.
