Floral Donations

Support Our Mission of Sharing Smiles Through Flowers

Random Acts of Flowers relies on generous donations of flowers and vases to bring joy and comfort to patients and healthcare residents in our community. By giving flowers and vases, you help us repurpose and share these thoughtful gifts with those who need it most.

Why Donate Flowers?

Flowers have an incredible power to uplift spirits and improve well-being. Through your floral donations, we can sustain our mission to deliver cheerful, handcrafted bouquets to individuals facing challenging times. Every bouquet we create is from donated flowers that have been disassembled, trimmed and given fresh water. Volunteers use these flowers to create new bouquets, which are then hand-delivered to a person in a healthcare facility- all completed within 2 days!

Donations may be tax deductible. When we receive your donation, we can issue an acknowledgement letter that will provide the date of donation, general description of your donation, and our tax ID number for your records. We cannot place a value on the in-kind donation, so please contact your tax preparer for assistance.

Types of Flowers We Accept

We gratefully accept a wide range of flowers, including:

  • Fresh cut flowers
  • Arrangements left over from weddings, events, and funerals
  • Floral stock from wholesalers, grocery stores, and florists

  • Pickup Requests: RAFI can work with you to finalize details ahead of your event  to coordinate a pick up. We encourage requests to be made at least 2 weeks in advance. RAFI is closed evenings & weekends. Floral donations are picked up the Monday morning following an event. Please confirm that your florist or event space can hold them safely until then.
  • Dropping off Flowers: If you are able to drop off your flowers at the RAFI Workshop 1057 E. 54th St., Suite F, that would be so appreciated! Please note our business hours (Mon – Thurs, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

What Happens Next?

Volunteers will deconstruct all donated arrangements, composting any unusable stems and disposing of ribbons, pins, foam, etc. in the most eco-friendly way. Repurposed bouquets are then delivered to patients in an area healthcare facility within 48 hours.
